How to become a Certified Facilitator and Member of the Tango Network

Tango is a business simulator, constructed as a board game, based on the concept of "The Knowledge Organization" originated by Karl-Erik Sveiby. The pedagogical concept is designed by Klas Mellander, Celemiab International in Sweden.

Tango was launched in October 1994 and is used as a learning tool and change management tool by a network of Certified Facilitators. They are independent consultants, partners of larger consultancy firms or in-house trainers of larger corporations using Tango.

The Tango Network of Facilitators covers Europe, United States, South America, Africa and Australia. Through the network, some 100 people, large international clients can be trained on a global basis. The Tango Network is administered world-wide by Celemi.

Facilitators are ideally MBAs with some practical managerial experience, preferably from knowledge organisations like engineering, consulting, advertising, accounting, etc.

The facilitator training is currently (Nov 2001) being redesigned. Consultants aiming for certification will have to commit themselves to 5-7 days of learning over a period of 2-6 months. The actual length of the process in calendar days depends on the availability of Tango sessions in your region.

A learning programme may look like this:
